Rhubarb is a perennial native to Asia, has been commonly useful for constipation and diarrhea, depending on the dose. It has a cleansing action on the intestines, effectively removing clogged debris. This herb is antiseptic, astringent and antibacterial. Turkey rhubarb is one of the ingredients of the cancer remedy, Essiac. In Chinese medicine, the herb is used to move the blood. It is also used for blood in the stool or in vomit. It also kills blood flukes. where it was widely used in Traditional Chinese Medicine to ease constipation.
Do not use this product if you have abdominal pain or diarrhea. Consult a health care provider prior to use if you are pregnant or nursing a baby. Discontinue use in the event of diarrhea or watery stools. Do not exceed recommended dose. Not for long-term use.
